This project consisted the demolition and debris disposal of 46 separate overpasses as part of the I-65 & I-70 North Split project for the Superior Construction and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). Located in downtown Indianapolis, the scope of work entailed the complete demolition of parapets, crash walls, decks, beams, abutments, and piers, paving the way for a major reconstruction of these critical U.S. Interstate arteries.

A significant challenge arose with the discovery of lead paint on the top flanges of the steel beams. Omega and Superior Construction worked jointly to isolate the contaminated components, ensuring their safe separation and disposal in accordance with environmental safety regulations. This effort was vital for maintaining the safety and compliance aspects of the project.
